99 – AB 1001 – Fair employment and housing

AB 1001 moved the provision prohibiting employment discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation from the Labor Code to the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). In adding sexual orientation to FEHA, it codified existing case law prohibiting housing discrimination based on sexual orientation.
